It is my understanding that parentage is not a requirement for registration.
Note in catalogues that some have "unknown" as one parent.
It is also my understanding that at this present time, registration is not
a prerequisite for entering a show, but an accurate name is. (Whatever that
means. Can any one clarify? -- for example an iris named by, say, Wilds,
may not be officially registered with AIS, but introduced and sold under
a name by which it becomes known.)
Is there an AIS officer on this LIST that can contribute to this discussion?
