He would be GREAT... maybe for 1997 banquet? He's in FL, and since we
already have David & Mort coming this fall, can't afford Dave. I'd love to
have him... also Van Sellers and Vic Santa Lucia from Iron Gate Gardens in
NC... I heard them in Albany and they're WONDERFUL!

Yes I would. Steve of Mt. Greta Gardens in PA is selling them...I would like
to buy a selection from him. Want to do so together? I have his catalog.
Let me know.

Gibo-whatever is Kevin Walek who is a Washington attorney. He's primarily a
hosta person, but does daylilies too. His cousin's getting married in Perry
in September so he called to see if we could do something. The Bad News is
that I have to go to the daylily regional that weekend somewhere on the east
coast... but he'll be getting drunk at the wedding anyway and won't be much
of a speaker on the 22nd. I suggested maybe an evening thing on Mon or
Tues.... maybe at the Coop. Ext. Called Sally Cunningham who liked the idea,
but said she'd get back to me (she didn't). Tom M. will most likely have
another episode... but I really don't care. When opportunities arise, we
must seize them!
The program will be 1/2 daylilies, 1/2 hosta.
BTW: we got 4 new members on Saturday. I'm going to put the membership list
in order, then send it to you. I would like you to welcome the new folks...
What are your thoughts?
