Re: rot and rebloom and polar bears


gunnar - have you gotten an ice bear for your garden?  sounds pretty drastic!

lowell and others - i hear from our local club members that, in general,
rebloomers tend to be more vigorous (less disease prone) than modern TBs.
 have any of the rest of you noticed this?

i have been trying to keep MOTHER EARTH alive but am not optimistic for her
future here (molligrubs).  she did bloom the first year and i reallly reallly
like the flower. sigh.  also, when i ordered CHAMPAGNE ELEGANCE, the supplier
mentioned it is one he has had rot problems with and substituted another
variety.  i guess i will give it a try anyway, but wondered if anyone else
out there in high humidity/high rainfall areas has had success with it?
