gunnar - have you gotten an ice bear for your garden? sounds pretty drastic!
lowell and others - i hear from our local club members that, in general,
rebloomers tend to be more vigorous (less disease prone) than modern TBs.
have any of the rest of you noticed this?
i have been trying to keep MOTHER EARTH alive but am not optimistic for her
future here (molligrubs). she did bloom the first year and i reallly reallly
like the flower. sigh. also, when i ordered CHAMPAGNE ELEGANCE, the supplier
mentioned it is one he has had rot problems with and substituted another
variety. i guess i will give it a try anyway, but wondered if anyone else
out there in high humidity/high rainfall areas has had success with it?
