all one colour iris beds

One of the members recently wrote of a plan to plant one-colour iris 
beds.  I did that one year when I bought a hundred or so tall bearded 
iris.  I thought it would be a good idea, so that I could compare them.  
It was fine for the first year, but by year two or three, they had 
increased into each other, and I didn't know one from the other.
