Dave, I have found borer in almost all the beardless irises at various times,
BUT NEVER IN THE LEAF OF A BEARDLESS IRIS. Always in the rhizome. The borer
is least likely to be in a Siberian or Japanese iris. But they like
Louisianas and Spurias as much as bearded irises. Clarence Mahan in Virginia
