Garden Seekers,
I know of a wonderful garden in Louisiana. Hodges Gardens in Many,
Louisiana is located just outside of Alexanderia. The entire garden is
4,700 acres, but only a small portion of that is used for the main gardens.
It has wonderful old and modern rose gardens, a daylily garden, an herb
garden, a large 225-acre lake, and several other seasonal plant beds. They
have an iris garden, but it is somewhat small and you have to time it right
to get to see the flowers in bloom. There are several picnic areas and
there is an overnigh lodge on the grounds. It's a nice place to go if you
happen to be in that part of Louisiana. For more information you can call
