A number of sources of seed have been posted already. The only place I have
seen nicolai seed is in the Archibalds catalogue, and that not for a few
years. However, bulbs are offered regularly by Paul Christian's nursery
here. He does export & takes credit cards, so if you can't locate a US
source you could try him. Mail me if you need his address.
Another source is Michael Salmon's Monocot Nursery - he was offering both
bulbs & seed of I. regis-uzziae this year. He also exports, I believe.
Also, juno species seed appears regularly in the exchanges of the alpine
societies.
If anybody is a member of the Alpine Garden Society, take a look at P63 of
the March 96 Bulletin. There is a nearly full page colour pic of a potful
of I. hippolyti all flowering - a mouthwatering combination of azure blue
and cream. We can all dream!
Good luck
