Is anyone keeping tabs on zonal pockets where different types of iris do
well? And perhaps the specific problems? Where is "ideal" iris growing?
How can the rest of us duplicate "ideal" conditions?
It sounds like Sacramento is the ideal iris place. Wow. Kathy Guest's
reports produce great anxiety about when spring will hit, and will things
bloom here...
And meeting the hybridizers... What's new and exciting from the hybridizers,
Kathy? Where are they taking us?
I got Joe Ghio's catalogue today. Long list of Lousianas, and of SPURIAS
(see Dorothy, I can too spell it!) and Pacificas and TB's. No sibs or japs.
Many Spurias from Blyth --
SIMO
SIMONE IN AUSTRALIA ___ is that your countryman?? Does he grow spurias?
I've seen and probably have at least one Blyth TB.
Tell us everything about how they grow there!! Do you have any?
KATHY GUEST:
Joe Ghio's garden is scalled Bay View Gardens -- what Bay is that? HOw
