Re: Tag and Identify


The very first thing a beginning gardener must learn is to make a planting
chart of EVERYTHING planted in the garden as soon as the planting has been
completed for that day. Don't trust to memory and don't trust to markers that
can heave out or be knocked over or be pulled out by mischief or accident.
Always use some prominent feature in the garden or property as a prominent
indicator (i.e. fence line, house wall, etc.)

I learned all of this the very hard way.  Had to discard 40 + iris because
someone had removed all the tags and I didn't have a chart.
