Carolyn,
I asked this about two months ago but I'll ask you now since you
are telling about forsythia blooming....Zone 3 is too cold for
forsythia to bloom - they grow well here but don't bloom - my
neighbor planted a f. bush from her old home in Mass. and the very
bottom of the bush has one or two nice yellow blooming branches - it
has been years and every late May the f. blooms the same way...
Buffalo is known for being cold & snowy....Zone 5/6 is not cold
to me <G>
My neighbor doesn't grow iris and thinks I am a bit daff about my
garden..."too much work...watering those Japanese Irises"....to keep
within Iris-l guidelines.
