I am trying the same thing. What are you using for tagging? I am trying a couple
of approaches. I got a garden marker from Burpee that claims to be
sun/weatherproof. I also have a "china" marker (a fancy name I think for grease
pencil). For tagging I am using some 6" white plastic markers (also from Burpee),
and a roll of 1" wide green plastic garden tape. So far both tag types seem to be
ok, but I'll need a summer of heat and sun to see if they hold up. One problem I
notice is if you tie the garden tape around the fan, you have to either leave
lots of room to expand, or use a slip method to attach it.

Anyone else have some suggestions?
