Not quite.  It's black flies tonight.  Boy do those suckers pack a mean bite.
 You don't realize you're being bitten half the time, but the itching will
last for a week...

Nope.  Only noting that I find it easier, via inspection,  to keep tabs on
 and manually control (SQUISH!),  borers in bearded irises than in beardless
ones.  But as Clarence so gleefully noted, borers survived quite well on
beardless irises before bearded ones....
