Ian,
After just a couple years, one discovers that seed from SIGNA may turn out to
be anything. Sadly, many contributors do not check the iris bloom against
the name tag for correct identification! :-( They just perpetuate
mistakes. There are not, nor can there be, any Seed Police in the SIGNA seed
distribution program. But, that is why they do list the donor of the seed.
If one has valuable time or limited space, only purchase seed from a donor
that you know or have heard of , that "should be" a reliable source. You
have just labeled your name as a possible future consciencious donor of seed
to SIGNA , who will note any question of seedling form and carefully observe
plant and bloom to confirmation of name tag or identification. :-)
