They do vary some in shape and intensity from species to species. Some are
kind of longish. But once you see them you'll wonder how you ever missed them.
They are very pronounced on my pseudacorus. My eyes really have greater and
lesser days but I don't need a glass to see them. Just hold a leaf up to the
sun. It will look "peppered".
