Hi Glenn
So, you want *ALL* my little secrets, eh? <heheheh>
I puzzled that problem for a bit as well. I lay a board (or two) between the
edge of the pond and the retaining barrier (making sort of a bridge). If the
space is wide einough between plants I use a 2X12, If the 2X12 would crush a
plant. I use two 2X6's, then kneel on the board(s) to do what ever I have to
do. Not the easiest thing but I am not supposed to have to get out there all
that often either (I know, wishfull thinking)...If worse comes to worse, there
is always rolling up your pant legs and squishing mud between you toes... <G>
The dirt in the bog is 9 - 11 inches deep
