List,
I failed to mention that COMPOST CONTRIBUTOR (Bee, H) also bloomed today.
Boy, did I get in trouble for mentioning compost out loud! I will need to
be discreet
when it gets thrown in the leaf shredder. Warning to all you who grow
these things
for the pleasure and anticipation of the process - be careful to whom you
address
about the ultimate fate of the plant. It did benefit from serendipity in
the companion
plants around, a bed of pansies all in the same purple shades on one side
and the
white iberis on the other. With four stalks it will contribute a fair
amount of garden
value, but it looks very similar to the cemetary irises (which was what I
expected).

Zone 7 - and Sara, I may be able to find someone to photograph the
cemetary, but I
might as well handle a rattlesnake as a camera. I'd likely have about the
same
unsuccessful results. I would like some photos tho.
