Thanks Linda, this is much as I thought. Unfortunately for the novice
iris grower reading the list, many people 'seem to know' and we have to
try intelligently to unravel science fact from folk lore.
I know I must also defer to those with far more experience, but
accepting without questioning is not a good way to learn anything. At
least an open discussion with lots of input from different people gives
food for thought, and helps put things in perspective.
