Re: OT - Easter

The Borer clarified:

<< Peeps are those little marshmallow "chick" blobby things that are
connected at
the hip in a long line. They come in yeller, white, lavender (the Peep du
jour at the stately Guest mansion), pink and probably green.

They are purely awful things... and we all eat them. >>

Mais oui! Not to be confused with Spring Peepers (Hyla crucifer), a diminutive
frog (the name is onomatopoetic) which most of us don't eat, although my
Mother tells a story about how, as a child, she once had several peepers in a
shoebox and took them into the kitchen to show the cook and when she lifted
the lid they all hopped into the pancake batter and had to be rinsed off in a
colander with much bother and carrying on. Peeps The Seasonal Comestible are
indeed extruded marshmallow creatures covered in colored sugar and have no
pesky additional flavors to intrude on the pure brute sweetness. People of
sensibility view them with affection, but others have had a field day and
several truly base parody pages can be found by pointing your browser at
"Peeps".
