I am glad to see you back with us. Although I have not used Orthene
on Irises myself, those who have used it have not reported any problems
after having done so. You might wish to check for an insecticide that is
listed as being safe for Irises.
If you have open blooms, do not spray them unless necessary to avoid
unneeded harm to pollinating insects.
