Re: OT : Weather


They were terribly damaging here.  We are OK, but many homes and
businesses near us were destroyed.  At least 10 dead in Georgia, plus 32
in Alabama.  Parts of metro Atlanta are still without utilities.  Several
counties have been declared disaster areas.  When storms like this pass
through, I am grateful for my basement, and for the storm sirens in Cobb
County, which can be heard anywhere in the county.  Many commentators
have said that the few mintues warning provided by the sirens is the
reason Cobb County had no casualties, even though property damage was
high.
