I'm glad you mentioned "Scorch" Celia, I have been wondering about this
myself.  I have heard "Scorch" being used by various iris growers around here
and have been wondering about it!  Just exactly what is "Scorch", what does it
look like (how do you identify it) and how do you treat it?  To my knowledge I
have never seen it but have heard much about it.  Anyone want to comment here?
