Dennis, Paul, and all,
I had mixed success with Lycoris radiata in Kentucky. I tried it in
several different places and it survived only in the hottest, most
sheltered site. I am trying it here. It is supposed to be good in this
area.
I had good luck with some type of Crinum in Kentucky. It was not in a
sheltered place, but I mulched it heavily. I got some bulbs locally and am
trying to get them started. The nurseries say they will stock some potted
starts later this season.
