This morning I had 68 messages from Iris-L. Of those, fully one-third were
labelled OT, and of those not so labelled, about one-fifth were not about
irises (most of these were one-line "me-toos" or some such).
Yes, one of the OT messages was mine, about those #$%^@ Peeps. I deeply
regret sending it!
Can we please use private e-mail when our message is not of interest to all
or a number of members?
The give-and-take of a humorous exchange is amusing on a chat-line, but on
a list it simply goes too slowly to be funny. Let's let the humor die down
after a few good sallies (like Anner, I cry "Basta!")
Now--please just take this as one man's comment and please, please, don't
start an interminable thread of comment on the comment! If you don't like
what I've suggested, just keep on as you have been, and if you agree with
me, keep your peace! If you feel an irrepressible desire to flame, use my
private address.
