CULT: Lactea

This is like spuria iris which will take a good drying when intact in the =
soil but quickly die if allowed to dry when out of the ground. They are =
obviously protected somehow when in the ground and undisturbed. One on =
lifes great mysteries, I guess.

As to your second question, stand back and watch them grow.  Other than =
keeping them watered through their first summer my lactea have received no =
care. Interestingly, they stayed green through their first winter but now =
die back with the first freeze.  They are blooming now.
