    I shudder every time my husband decides to do something which will
possibly bother my precious plants. He just gets irritated and trys to not be
in too big of a hurry while I dig up or cover up plants I don't want to see
trampeled  I too have found myself standing right in the middle of something
i.m trying to protect. It is life!

    No, I do not believe I even want to see my lovely I. japonica with any
shade of paint. I think their nature tones are just fine. My I j is just
coming into bloom. They
are so lovely- sprays of frilly blossums which last for a long time. Too bad
the slugs like them so much as well.  The leaves really can look trashed in
short work.
