Christy and Marte,

Marjorie Brummitt in England used the name of her home town, Banbury, as a
prefix for many of her iris introductions, both PCNs and other types.
However, BANBURY RUFFLES is not a Brummitt introduction. The 1979 Checklist
provides the following information:

BANBURY RUFFLES (D. Reath, introduced by Schreiners, 1970). SDB, 15", VE.
Rich blue self with darker blue spot on F; ruffled. ("D. Reath" was Dr. D.
L. Reath of Vulcan, Michigan).

It looks like Christy has the correct article, but what Marte may have is
an open question (there are 17 Brummitt PCNs with the "Banbury" prefix
listed in the '79 Checklist alone).
