Re: CULT: BANBURY RUFFLES

Christy, Jeff & Lloyd:

I really must learn not to leap to conclusions -- the tag on my pot of
small iris reads, in toto, "Banbury Ruffles, deep purple" while the tags
on the blooming plants in the DBG gardens read "Dwarf Iris, Banbury
Ruffles" with no further info about the cultivar. I only ASSUMED it was
a PCN because all the references I found at home with Banbury in the
name were Brummitt's PCN intros. Silly me. I'm sure, now, that you're
all correct that this is an SDB, not least because it's obviously
thriving in the very xeric beds at the DBG.

Thanks for setting me right & for the checklist description & info --
more & more, I can see the usefulness of the AIS checklists!

Christy, I hope BR "spreads like a weed" for me, too. I'd be delighted.

Marte in the mtns	Zone 1/Sunset 1 Colorado -- another sunny day, drippy
with melting snow. Yeh!
