CULT: Reversion to white

Is the color supposedly what changes? What about the form?...the
beard?...the texture? Do they all revert back to some white ancestor in
common? Irises have so many more distinguishing features than just
color. It would seem that if they are reverting 'back' in color, per se,
they would still all have different characteristics in other respects. A
lacy white. a ruffled white, a horned white, flared falls, small-flowered,
large flowered? Even if soils or chemicals were at the root of it all.
Do they all look like the same white iris? (If ours should all turn white,
I would hope they turned into I DO... which blooms for us three times. If
I can't have color, I'd opt for frequency)

Ann & Ernie in S. central Il where we are putting up bloom stalks on TBs
finally....We had a good meeting today in Centralia, wish you could have
all been there.
