Ah Sharon
Ever the scientist. Some of us are so intent on getting our grubby little
hands on as many "new" iris ( and lots of other companion plants) as possible.
To even think about leaving a spot empty for more than over the winter or 10
minutes is a very difficult thing to consider. Do I know it is a good
practice, of course. Am I willing to leave the plot to rest or rejuvinate it's
self. for a year or so? No. But I do build up the soil with compost and some
other stuff I think it might need to help it to help the plants I wish to try
growing.
Thank goodness for your scientific mind and training. Some of us (me)
need to be led in methods of thinking and doing that do not come second
nature. Thanks!
