And may I say that you are now not only hooked, reeled in and flopping on the
pier - but also fileted, battered and frying merrily.
An iris show - despite how it may seem on the outside - is the very best
advertisment we have for our beloved flower. Not only is it a way to reward
excellence in growing and preparing a stalk for judge's scrutiny... but it
also 'brings the mountain to Mohammed', so to speak. Entering an iris garden
can be intimidated - but having your breath taken away in a show may provide
the stalk and set the hook for the next tuna!
