Well I am trying a little experiment along those lines right now. I planted a
rz of DIABOLIQUE last fall and all it wants to do is sit there and sulk. The
fan is still green at the base (about 1/2 inch worth). Well, at least it was
until I sliced the fan and growth point off yesterday. I am letting the cut
end dry, will coat it with Ag gypsum, and then cover the whole rz with about
an inch of soil. Maybe it will put out some increases. Not quite the same as
slicing it in half, but now that you mention it, maybe I will. Have to
consider that. Anyway, I will let you all know what happens.
