CULT: tough iris anecdote!

I have to share this - after all my whining over freeze damage the week
of March 13, Christy Hensler sent me some 'rutabaga' rhizomes of unnamed
older TBs which arrived on March 24 and got planted in the wet muddy
ground more or less immediately.  After going through hail and flood,
one of them is already sending up a bloom stalk.  I admit these guys
didn't get here till after the great freeze, but still, I am impressed. 
Who says March is the wrong time of year to dig and ship TBs. : )
