The unwanted iris

Per discussion on rescue:

One of the old home sites showed  signs of clean-up, I asked a neighbor,
sure enough, someone had bought it, will tear down the fallin-in house and
build a new one, would save the trees, so the neighbor guessed they  
would save the flowers, too.

Wrong

They've been bush-hogged.
