There are little, but fairly visible, brown bugs all along the leaf
stems and clustered on the buds of my TBs! This is the first time I've
ever seen this. They are bigger than a spider mite normally would be
because you can see them without any trouble at all -- no webbing. They
don't seem to be aphids, because they can move around pretty well and
jump. They seem, of course, to be sucking liquids out of the leaves,
which hasn't YET hurt the leaves, but they can dwarf or distort a bloom
pretty well. I can run my hand along the leaf and squash them whereby I
get a tar-like stain on my hands that doesn't come off easily. In terms
of their size, it's maybe 1/16" long and narrower than long, and a
decided brown colour.
Any clues?
