Glenn Simmons wrote of the iris patch in which clover had run wild,
and noted the apparent health and vigor of the iris there as compared
to others. If all that has been said of alfalfa's virtues is true,
or even half true, it would make some sense that clover might have
the same benefits, since the two are such similar legumes. Has
anyone had occasion to use clover hay or made a tea from it or
chopped clover on the iris beds?
