Around here we grow beardless irises called Siberians in the
substantial 'gap' between the the TB class and the Japanese
irises. There are weeks between the two in Zone 3a. The Japanese
don't start blooming until late July and extend all throughout
August and into September. The peak TB bloom is the end of June
almost coinciding with the Siberians and the peonies. Favorite
time in this garden for me. :)
Seriously, I am ordering some English irises from McClure & Z.
this year for my new garden.
