I'm familiar with these tiny red mites, but I don't believe them to be much
of pest on irises.  (If you can see them, they're not "spider mites.")  I'd
take the hose and spray them off.   Anything you'd use to "eradicate them"
will knock out every beneficial predator, which, in this case, are probably
nowhere in sight.
