It has at least one more or one less chromosome than would an exact
polyploid. An aneuploid that's missing a chromosome is likely to be less
fertile than the polyploid form -- so yes, as a general rule it's
reasonable to expect no more than limited fertility. One that has an
extra chromosome MAY, however, retain significant fertility.
Remember, there are no absolutes in this realm.
