My children were actually in first and third grade (so would be 7 and 9) when
they were hybridizing at mother's, and they were only grandchildren, not
great grands. Lets not give them too much credit.
They did have an article published in the AIS Bulletin about the convention
in Philadelphia, and also prior to that (when they were about 5 and 7) an
article in the local New England publication about the local iris tours.
Ann Dasch also talked me into being Youth Editor for the Bulletin for a bit,
and I remember Perry Dyer from (I think) one of them VA national conventions
right after Philadelphia's.
