That may explain why the surviving seedlings that I put in the frost
pocket have done so well. Not only does the cooler spot allow the soil to
stay moist longer, that spot is also within range of the next door neighbor's
irrigation system, and she waters heavily.
I don't envy that 35 F, but we were cooler too this morning, going all
the way down to 64 F.
