Most of Opal Brown's intros were subpar performers here, but I regret to
say, Walter, that the absolute worst of all was SANTAFAIR, and it was a
very late bloomer besides.

Many of Melba's irises were among the weaker performers, too. They got
kinda inbred after a while, I believe. However, CHRISTMAS RUBIES has been
the best growing and blooming red bearded white in what has always seemed
to me to be a difficult class and SUNDAY CHIMES has nice, tall stalks for a
pink, in contrast to La Runta (BEVERLY SILLS).

Most of Brad's things do quite well for me. TIGER HONEY, however, has been
a bit of a shy performer.

LEMON CHESS is a star performer here, and most of the admittedly few
Southern bred TBs I have grown have done themselves proud.
