Hi,

You might want to contact Don and Ginny Spoon, Winterberry Iris,
as I think they've been paying attention to purple based foliage
(PBF) for a while.

I try to always record PBF, since sometimes it's one of the main
differences between 2 iris I'm trying to ID (historics).

PBF varies quite a bit, in terms of
how purple or how purple/red it is
how far up fan it extends
how long it shows PBF
do mostly outer leaves have PBF, or all leaves?
