Okay.  This sounds reasonable.  Clay certainly can get waterlogged at times
and with the addition of manure it seems reasonable that situation could
lend itself to more rot.  But I still have to ask why sheep manure wouldn't
do the same thing?  Horse manure could easily let more oxygen in and keep
the moisture distributed better, but the sheep manure and cow manure I've
had experience with would both compact about the same, so I'm wondering what
is the difference between one and the other when used with clay.
