Chris,

If Chuck's correct in his assessment of the rings being different than 
PBF, your assumption about non-PBF in your seedlings would also be 
correct.  But perhaps your seedlings are still in the developmental stage 
of PBF and only showing the rings so far.  Obviously I don't have a clear 
handle on any of this at all.

That's *almost* enough to make me want to dig up a rz of TBird, IMM, and 
LHS to take a look and see whether or not they show the rings here.  But 
I believe I'll let them sleep tight till next year.
