How about Phoenix, AZ? We have had exactly 1.40 inches this whole year.
About the same as El Paso, TX last year.

Bill, I changed the subject line so hope you can follow the thread!
...even tho it was only .008" it made big news on the local stations! I
couldn't believe it either and had to write it down to make sure I could
remember it. According to the report, our "usual" annual rainfall to
this point is about 7.86" so the 3.46" this year is really low. Other
iris talkers report getting that much in one storm!
