Robin,

sounds like yours and mine are the same anyway, but I think the ones I found
when I opened the pods might have been a hair longer than you describe.  The
one I found in the seed was only about 1/4".

Someone posted a germination technique early this season from one of the
'big guys' that said they freeze their seeds breifly, like twelve hours.
Guess there's magic to it.  At least you're getting germination. :)
