You could join the list for 15 minutes and then leave the list.
As long as you have an Yahoo i.d., that is the simplest way. I
do that all the time if I want to view something in a
Yahoogroups knitting list. 

But I have reconfigured the web page so that it can be
accessible to non-members for a few hours. It reverts back to my
heavy-hand  at 7 p.m. EST. ;-) 

I have spent hours of time (and so has Jim Wilson..more than me)
 transporting the photos for the last three years to the files'
section of BIP. Then I had the 'bright' idea of having a folder
with a few of the irises at the mini-convention for all to view.
