I only apply in the spring and at planting time. I do not have a bad weed
problem here at home. At the farm where I had seedlings planted I had a huge
weed problem. Preen was of no use there. Clay field with poor drainage.
Standing water for hours after a rain. I think Preen should last 90 days
unless you have a super amount  of rain.

I only had about 40 new iris this year, most I got before I was ready to
plant. I pot with = compost and = good potting soil. I plant dirt and all.
This year I used deep pots and it was a chore to dig deep holes. They seem
to do better than bare root planted. The iris I dug and replanted were
planted bare root. I have had to replant 8 or 10 the squirrels dug up this
week.
