Re: REB: a few blooms...

The ultimate in reliability 'Immortality' started blooming over a week ago,
and has had a succession of stalks ever since. Two are in bloom, a fourth
stalk is nearing full height.

This was moved last summer--half of a healthy clump was lifted, reset intact
with as much dirt on the roots as cared to remain. Other pieces and parts
were scattered into other locations. This half-clump sulked for a while, then
slowly began to perk up last fall. Now, it looks as healthy as the parent
clump had last year.

'Midsummer Night's Dream' was reset last summer also, but into semi-shade. It
has grown well, has good increase, but isn't blooming off-season. That's
good--I can increase my stock of it. When it was out in full sun with ample
fertility *every* full-sized fan bloomed. More increase kept coming--then
blooming too.

Now, with the non-blooming sets, I can get enough increase on it to set it in
various places and let it bloom away. Its propensity for bloom both in season
and out is phenomenal here.
