REB: RE: Rebloom Report

Rebloom at our zone 4b/5a farm and garden has been very exciting this
year. We have had an unusual growing season with lots of moisture (13"
in the month of July..VERY unusual) and unseasonably cool temperatures
(probably not had 15 days over 90 degrees here).

Some of the highlights of the rebloom season have been:

1) ENGLISH CHARM put up 2 stalks, the first blooming on 7-15-04. Has
anyone else in zone 4/5 had it rebloom?

2) ROCK STAR has one stalk up. This is also unusual. Stalk should be
in bloom in a week or so.

Current stalks up:

1. SUMMER HOLIDAYS (reblooming since 7-3-04)

2. CHAMPAGNE ELEGANCE (reblooming since 7-10-04)

3. NOW & LATER (a stalk every couple of weeks since 7-9-04)

4. GLACIER KING (5 stalks in bloom since 8-3-04)

5. IMMORTALITY (started on 7-17 and will likely continue through frost,
we have about 400 plants in the field)

6. I REPEAT (a stalk in bloom since 8-7-04, also exhibits good leaf
spot resistance)

7. SIGN OF LEO (reblooming since 8-15-04)

8. TEA LEAVES (reblooming since 7-22-04, even shoots stalks after it
has been dug and tries to flower in the bins!)

9. VIOLET RETURNS (reblooming since 7-5-04)

A couple no shows this year so far: BLATANT, VICTORIA FALLS,
WINTERLAND/ZURICH. Maybe they will come on later.

Happy irising!
